What is a Health or Social Service
The IHC defines a “health or social service” as a non-clinical service that improves the well-being of the patient.
Health services augment the doctor-patient office visit by giving patients tools and resources to more fully address their health needs; whereas, social services are resources for everyday life that improve the overall welfare of the patient, thus optimizing their health.
